Burton - I had found out about my old friend Derek today through my Cuz. Derek was probably one of my closest friends through my Raiders/Titans years. The one thing that kept us tight was our love to play sports and how bad we wanted to compete and push each other to be at our very best. Personality wise, we were different because he always wanted to show how tough he was so he would pick on those who he knew wouldn't fight back. When someone picked on him he of course would back down. He got the best of me in soccer and hockey, while I outdueled him in b-ball and football.
I remember when we played on the tennis team together, and he was #2 Singles, while I was #4 singles. We both got injured at the Fraser Tournament and had a match the next day. Coach Ro did not want us to be playin. Derek accepted being on the injured list, however I could not and he knew I hate missing games. So, he asked me to play #2 Singles for him. I told Coach Ro that I was playin and no doctor's note was gonna keep me from representin my friend Derek in this match.
It's interesting now, and I hope in God's time I get a chance to talk to him. I found out that he is married now and is heavily involved with a church. He is actually gonna go into seminary to be a Pastor too. It's amazing how 10 years ago, he was tellin me he wanted to be a doctor and stuff. I really hope I get a chance to share with him how God's worked in my life. He told my Cuz he's gettin old, interesting because I still feel like I'm young and kickin still.

Noonan - Bummer so close to getting World Series tickets! Anyways, so it's time that I blog bout my annoyance lately that has been boilin for so many years. Especially now that the Tigers are winning, it's bout that time that peeps jumped on the bandwagon of course. I still remember my first Tigers game back at The Corner, or to those who don't know what that is, Tigers Stadium.
So what bugs me is when I am workin at the restaurant tryin to watch the game, then all these freaking customers come in. Now I can understand, not everyone is a baseball fan so it's ok if you come in jsut because you want food. What bugs me is when people treat our place like it's a sports bar all of a sudden. Like all these idiots, are like "wow the Tigers are playin", to me it's like hello if you were any fan then you would know that already. It's amazin how so many people say oh the Tigers are my favorite team. It's like, was that your answer in 2003? I was there for some of those 119 losing games. Even my Sis, she wanted to buy an Inge jersey #12, which is fine but too bad he is wearing #15. I'm shoppin at Champs a few months ago, and even the employee was complainin to me bout the band wagoners.
To end this rant I got, here is what happened as soon as Maggs hit the GW HR to put the A's away. I was lookin in disgust as 2 customers were having this convo, I just wanted to kick the lady out of the restaurant.
Lady: Are the Tigers winning?
Man: They just won the series because of that homerun. So now we're goin to the World Series.
Lady: Hahaha, I knew those California boys couldn't take the cold.
What an idiot, she knew nothing and just expect more peeps like that to hop on. Some of us have been proud to sport the Olde English D for a long time.

SEND - It has been a great Fall Break so to be speak. Today I played football, it's been good to get back onto the field once again. I mean 6 on 6 with flags, at the Hornets nest in The Heights. It was good to see old friends, and talks of winter B-ball bout to happen. My Cuz was tellin us how he found old video tapes of us playin B-ball, and havin our Slam Dunk contests. He told us, how goofy we look compared to today. Rob, was remindin me of how he called me the K-Gun offense of B-ball since I was the smallest and youngest, I just chilled at the 3 point line and shot 3's. Man those were the days ya know, playin ball in The Heights.
It was an interesting message this morning regarding missions. Sunday School was educational too, it felt good to get up and move around. The best part was realizing who has the same b-day as you. Although, I don't think it's fact about the 23 people thing. He is right about forgiveness though, at least for myself, I'd like to think that I don't hold grudges. However, I can think of some people that I may have forgiven but a negative image always pops up first. So does that mean I really have forgiven because I cannot forget? Can someone forgive and forget? It's funny too because if there has been one thing I have spent more time on during my QT's is I keep praying to God for His forgiveness on me for all the idiotic things I do. On some things, I have paid the price for being dumb, while others I was too prideful to realize it until it was too late. Eh, all I can hope is He shows mercy, grace, love, and forgive me for many dumb things. I need to rely on His wisdom and learn from my own mistakes, at the same time look/listen to what He is trying to teach me.

Shrimp - So it's been awhile since the last time I went to court. Well I guess I mean since I had to stand in front of the judge where I was guilty with whatever. I've lost track, and I think I am at ticket 11 still so I don't want to jinx myself either. Thank God for my Valentine! Today was the 3rd time going to court this year, and all of them I have not been involved with. Actually next week will be my 4th time come to think of it. Anyways, I was listenin to everyone's testimony/excuse/reason/explanation whichever ya wanna call it. There was this one lady, who said she was not guilt then would not take an oath after the judge asked her twice! I was like uh dude you're screwed, and the judge kept yellin at her because she did not want to take an oath. It's like they explain it to ya loud and clear, so I don't see what is so hard to understand. Plus it would help if ya get to court on time. I've been late several times, but then again I am a veteran of the court experience.
Geez, I really hope I didn't jinx myself. It was 2003, I remember driving down south on Van Dyke, past 12 Mile on Dec. 28 or something around there. I kept thinking wow, I haven't been caught all year. Then of course, a cop on a motorcycle pulls me over, and I was like suck so close to not havin been pulled over for a whole year and now it is ruined :( So I hope I don't jinx myself, of course the easy thing would be of course not to speed, uh duh. But ya know, gotta live life in the fast lane here, and for y'all slow riderz get out of the left lane! Usually, if my grill is up on your tail that means beep beep move sucka get out the way.

Crab Legs - Maybe I've been spoiled by the Seafood Buffet in Vegas. I mean $35 per person, and my one plate of fresh lobster tails more than takes care of that price. Eatin seafood at Mongolian Buffet just didn't measure up. I miss those days of eating at Old Country Buffet, man I remember that was the place to be. Taiwan Buffet, eh just stay away because of sanitary problems. Woo Lee's just a big over priced for meat eaters only. Man I got a craving for some dessert!
Just reflecting on it, I usually hate seeing the end of the year come down. Especially if like that particular year a lot of great things happened that I can think of like family vacations. However, my favorite holidays are always at the end of the year because of the gathering of friends and family. With that I'm really looking forward to Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas coming up. Yummy food of course too!
