My attempt to turnin Paris into The Detroit City!

Paris Skyline at night

How come our MGM don't look like this?

New York New York all lit up at night
Wolfbane - Man, it's so cool they are showin old episodes of the Power Rangers. I'm really hating this Mystic Force and SPD crap they show. But now their into the Zeo season so no more Kimberly as the Pink Ranger. Come on now, if you were a guy and watched this ya know it was for her!

Anyways, as I continue to reflect on my Vegas/LA trip because there was so much. Yup I was blog deprived for a long time. I think one of the best things I did with the family was going to Hoover Dam together. Usually, I'm the only one who wants to go to the touristy stuff. I wish I had a family pic together of the 4 of us out there. The funny part was the flight of stairs we climbed up and down to the car. It made me think of the Retreat setup by LLZ a few years ago with some peeps needin a break because of the huge amount of steps. I ran all the way to the top without breakin a sweat. My mommy struggled to get up all those steps and needed a break too. It was funny as I was chillin at the top seein so many people pull over on the stairs so they can get a breather. It was a lot of fun though and I'm glad as a family we went to the Dam.

It was that night that I felt sad after droppin my parents off to the airport and then an hour later my sis. I love bein the loner/crusader, but it just didn't feel right goin on this vacation without them. If only we had more family time together.

LA Skyline from College St and I-210

Our friend's joint on College St. right down from Chinatown

Pals out in Cali after lunch, peace I'm outtie!

Santa Monica Freeway - So here is another thing that I learned from my Vegas/LA trip. Prior to my arrival I heard that the LA traffic is the worst. Drivers out there are very aggressive and it's hard to get into lanes. After a couple of drives to LA, I realized that all I heard was just hype. Maybe I caught the right time of the day type of deal, but I made sure I left at all those peak hours. I drove on various freeways to try to experience this "LA traffic" as much as possible. LA traffic is nothing new that I have seen, I mean it's like your usual Chicago, NYC traffic. People just need to get out more and drive in other parts of the world to compare. Geeez even Detroit has traffic where it is gridlocked for a while. Too much hype on this traffic stuff and the drivers being aggressive, eh they weren't all that aggressive. If anything it's nothing new that I haven't seen yet.

I do miss the view driving to LA though. On a side note, is this a world record because I heard the average drive from LA to Vegas is 4 1/2 hours. Well, on a Saturday night I made it back in 3 hours and 35 minutes. Man so close to shavin a whole hour off that average.

My sis and I chillin in LA.

My Lucerne and I say "Suck It!" to all the racers in the West.

New York, New York big city and dreams to all ya peeps ain't always what it seems...

Monte Carlo, hmm not too shabby.

Kingman -
Boy, I slept for over 14 hours today and missed everyone's phone calls. Is this the result of jet lag or do I just need sleep? Last night, I didn't even have the energy to make up the stairs so I slept on the couch. Anyways, back to more thoughts of my trip. The one thing I truly enjoyed about this trip was all the racing I did out there! I mean it's a rental car but it was a Buick Lucerne. Man I drove that thing to the ground and I reseted everything. So by the time I returned the car, it registered 1,850 miles for a week's worth of driving. What else ruled out there was some of the hairpin turns they had, so I got to practice driftin! If only there was no traffic on U.S. 93 then I could really practice driftin along the Hoover Dam.

I raced everyone on I-15, it don't matter because I wanted to show everyone out in the West that they can't handle the Midwest because of weather. I'm a strong believer that if ya can drive in snow then you're a better driver than most. Anyways, I got challenges from Accord, Civic, Magnum, Mustang, Audi, and a BMW. What sucked about my Lucerne is when I reached 107 mph, the computer kept sayin that it was "limited to 107 mph." I ignored it of course until the governor kicked in once I hit 110 mph. I didn't win on the straight aways on I-15, but I caught up if not passed everyone on the downhill curves on the freeway.

I set up the Audi very nicely too because once I hit the max, my Valentine went off so I let the Audi pass me. 10 minutes later, I passed by the Audi as it was pulled over by Cali Highway Patrol. Another great set up was going against the Mustang, obviously I could only go up to 110 mph. He went 115 mph to pass me up, but I got the last laugh because as soon as he passed me, my Valentine went off again :) A couple of minutes later, Cali 5-0 was puttin the cuffs on him......justice was served baby! If only I had my car out there.....

Easter arrival, thanks to the Yee's for pickin us up from McCarran Airport.

I'm smilin so much because we're at National Car Rental so I get to choose which ride they have left.

My parents livin it up at Paris.

My Daddy @ Rio with the westside of I-15 in the background.

Dang it, didn't get a chance to eat at this place. The name just stuck out to me and I wanted a try.

Flamingo - So I'm finally back from my Vegas/LA trip. This is the longest vacation I had on my own and I learned a lot on this trip. Instead of tryin to type out everything I did in one entry, I figure I would scatter my entries with excerpts from the trip and different pics of each day that stuck out to me. I did as much as you could possibly do in Vegas by going to a lot of shows, I spent 7 hours walkin from 1 end of the Strip all the way back. I won over $200 over the week, it was $300 but I was at a losin streak at the end.

Ultimately, though if it were up to me I would never want to come back on my own. The night before I left, I got on my knees and repented to God for all the sins I committed or even thought about. Vegas is just so corrupted that I easily fell away from things until that night. If I ever do come back, I will be back stronger and not fall so easily to any temptation.

Honestly, the best part of Vegas were all the things that happened outside of Vegas. Now if I ended losin money then it would be easy for me to say. Believe me, the highlights of my trip was seein friends of the family in LA/Vegas, Wa @ the EA buildin, Cecilia's joint in Arcadia, Hoover Dam, and probably all the racin I did on the freeways (more on this in later entries).

I'm a Chevrolet Corvette!

You're a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You're all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

Dang Skippy that's the K-1-3!

Pacers - I got to the border in just under 3 hours! That's gotta be a record on that.

This was a month ago remember?

Same sign, but this is what it is suppose to look like minus the snow.

Gotta love the view of the Ole' Mississippi River

Kinda makes ya wanna take a ferry down to the Gulf

Minnesota Welcomes You!

Hmmm a Cheung franchise?

Perkins, baby we went here every morning of every year we been here, it's a tradition. We would walk here which was about a 1 mile in great weather.

This is what I'd see every mornin when I use to sleep here.

This is my "bed", but I love this couch so much! So comfy :)

This used to be my daddy's bed when we'd visit.

The front of my Uncle's place

The mini garage/tool shed.

The backyard

This area has changed a lil, can you find the monkey? That was something I won from CP a long time ago.

The dining area

The Kitchen

If only I could see Uncle Walter, and Aunt Anna yesterday :(

Legoland, this was my place at the Mall of America (MOA)

The view from one of the ends of MOA

Man I miss the big Snoopy float here :(

Paul Bunyan's Ax Ride

This is where I'd ball at when I stayed in the Twin C's.

Millions of ants, I don't know it looked interestin at the time I took this pic.

Smiles all around, because the sacrifice of sleep, and energy was worth it to put a smile on everyone's face.

Grand City - I'm glad that snowstorm hit us a month ago on our way to the Twin C's. This is another reason why He is in control of things. I mean the weather was just so beautiful and now I understand just how weak my Uncle really is. He can barely move and now uses a cane/walker to help him get around. It takes him about 7 minutes to get out of a car.

He is like the Grandpa that I never had. I can sense the battle with cancer is really takin it's toll now. He has various nurses come over during the week to check up on him. The nurse, told me that his energy level has taken a huge jump today just because of our arrival to visit. People wonder if it's worth sacrificin my energy and day to go out to Twin C's. No doubt, anything to make my Uncle happy to spend time with fam. I realized how less some of the others in the area visit him.

I went to the MOA too, gotta love no sales tax on clothes. I finally bought my Gophers gear to match my shorts I got a long time ago.

Sidenote, man I've been watchin a lot of Power Rangers lately. It's really cool because they have been showin the old school episodes.

Team Anger Management & CGC/HPBC ready or not here I come

Midway - What can I say, the b-ball games on tonight were great! Pistons vs. Heat, and Lakers vs. Nuggets, and now I am lookin forward to playin Team Anger Management this Saturday. My sellout from CGC is now talkin trash too, so it's like don't sing it just bring it. Funniest comment tonight on TNT was from Charles Barkley "Oh HELL no we showin the Knicks!"

I was called in to sub for 1st grade last night and I decided to give it a chance again. I was hesitant at first because of the school, West U. Out of all the schools, I heard about their rep in terms of the student environment. I grew up in this area back in my Apple Grove days out here so if ya want this would be considered the inner city of the U. Nonetheless, I took the 1st grade subbing job and I'm tellin ya I just have no patience for 1st grade.

The frickin tattling was pissing me off, it's like 1 minute of silence then the next 10 minutes would be each kid shoutin my name about all the stupidest things in the world. I had a cool bond with a couple of students though Cassy and Ari who made my day easier. Seriously, I just wanted to slap a couple of these students around.

What's worst is the teacher I subbed for, left these freakin vague lesson plans. First time ever as a sub, that I had to check papers. Yet she doesn't tell me how to correct them, and of course no seatin chart. Why do teachers insist on not leavin a seatin chart for subs? Then I have to spend my time makin one for myself so I don't just say "Hey you." A staff member told me that the teacher was retiring after this year, and I could see why, she could put a lil more effort in the plans. No more 1st grade for me from now on! I must be out of my mind to teach this summer's VBS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, in the end all for the glory of God.

Gorilla - I'm watchin the Clippers game right now, and I'm excited because I get to see Livingston! He was my favorite rook last year and my goal when I go to LA is to get his jersey!

Anyways, as the Baptism dinner is approaching, Praise Nite just ended, and VBS in a couple of months it really got me thinking. Maybe I am just confrontational, and I know I ain't perfect but I really wonder where the support is for any of the peeps in the YG all the way down to Jr. Church? When I say support, I'm thinkin parental support for their own child's relationship with God. I noticed the homework whether it is in Sunday School or Baptism and how it is procrastinated to be done. I mean if God was handin out A's would they do it? Of course, I talked to some and they said they would of done it for sure if their was a grade. I almost wanna get in the face with some of the parents too.

What else is frustrating is seein the parents come in for Chinese worship. If worship was important to you, shouldn't it be the same for your kid to be at English worship? It's like are you Chinese first or Christian first? Am I judgin peeps? I don't know but I just wanna call some parents out.

Family Matters - So incredible, when I sleep early I get no calls to sub and when I sleep late I get an insane amount of calls to sub. Of course, I never left the house today which felt good then again I pulled an Urkel today.

Urkel incident: I ran upstairs to grab my VHS tape of the Hornets vs. Grizzlies game from last week. As I got it, I went to run back down but my right leg tripped over my cell phone charger wire. I immediately dropped the VHS tape to gain my balance, but the tape fell on top of my left foot. Then my right foot slipped on top of my Sports Illustrated magazine and then I landed on my butt. Of course this pure stupidity motivated me to clean the house today.

Wow, I'm less than 2 weeks away from goin to Vegas. I was really excited at first, but today I just had this whole feelin of not wantin to go anymore. I guess I'm just not in the mood anymore, don't know what it is.

Mammoth - I'm really startin to enjoy watchin movies on Sunday afternoon. I mean no waitin in line, no fighting for good seats, plenty of parkin, just so laxin. So I saw Ice Age 2 today with some peeps and I think it deserved better than a C+ review. Actually, I think it was a lil better than the first one too.

This mornin's message was a doozy too, I mean one of my fav's, hope in God. In the end, that's all you can have is hope. Sunday School was just so soothing too since we talked about, rest. I've been asked to help serve in the Baptism Dinner ministry. A couple of things were brought to my attention during lunch. First one was amusing to me, and the second one well that was a bit disturbing. It made me realized if I should start serving sooner rather than later.

Spent a few hours at the Yu 2 Girlz house just chatting away. I'm thankful and blessed to have such a great bro/sis relationship with the both of them. We enjoyed some yummy dessert together and I hope that Auntie Amy takes it easy over in the motherland as my prayers continue to be with the fam.

Played some Big 2 at JW's, man I really suck now. That was probably the worst part bout my day, but it could of been worst. I could of done 200 push-ups because I stunk so bad. Now my thought for the night is, are the things I'm hopin for the same with His Will?
