Rendevous - So I decided to sub this morning because it was back at the Mustangs. However, this time I did 5th grade because I knew most of them too. I tried to keep a low profile this time because I just didn't want the celeb status get out at school. However that only lasted for a minute after school started as the word got out that I had returned. I had the whole 5th grade class come see me and a lot of 3rd graders came by too. I appreciated all the care and support from the staff that I had built such a great relationship with. Then came lunch time, if ya didn't know The Kid returned then ya knew then. I got mobbed, and surrounded in the hallways at lunch time by the entire 6th grade class. It's good to be back every now and then.

I love the 5th Grade class I subbed for because of the students. They thought it was all fun and games because as usual the rep bout me is the "cool teacher." However, I laid the smackdown, but so many students I knew already such as my Twinz, Jillian, Marissa, Josh, Lina, and Morgan.

So I was a lil drained by all this activity and how long I stayed after school to talk to the staff. I took a nap and overslept! I completely missed my turn for the 3 Point Contest at OU :( By the time I had gotten there, 2-Ball was underway.

Get Out The Way

Mia - Ya know sometimes we have to learn the hard way bout our limitations. This afternoon, I learned my limitations when it comes to eatin Pho. I ate 6 Viet. ER's and an XL Pho, boy was I stuffed. I let about 4 hours settle before my hockey and I just wanted to vomit. I'm still stuffed and it's 4:00 a.m. right now and I haven't ate since then.

Ever since I found out Fast and Furious 3 is comin out plus the Spring season, I've been gettin the urge to just street race out there. What better way to feed my need for speed then watchin Transporter 2. I loved the movie despite a few holes and defyin laws of realism. I also rented Need for Speed: Most Wanted which is also an excellent game! I'm gonna buy this game when I get to LA cuz it's made by EA.

Also when I was lookin at the video games, I saw The Bible Game for PS2! Dude I never seen this game before, I may look for it at GameStop. It's 4 players and all questions bout Scripture and it has Christian music artists on it too such as one of my fav's Jeremy Camp. Man, I need to find some challengers for this because I wanna test my knowledge. It has 1500 from the OT alone, I need to brush up on my OT.

What a day at JW's, Pho, Video Games, and Movies. Hmmm now that I listed it, dang it I feel so unproductive :( I hate it when I feel like I didn't produce any fruit.

Obsession

Vancouver Grizzlies - So for the past couple of weeks I've been thinkin bout Papa Wong's sharing bout competition. Yes he is right that by the end of the day, we don't get anything, no 'ship, no standings check etc. I think it has made me play so soft like toilet paper that I didn't have that instinct anymore. So I did some b-ball soul searchin tonight, and played at B-Ball City.
I'm back, I had everything tonight the swagger, the look, and especially the killer instinct. I mean to ask me to tone down my comp is just impossible. You're talkin bout the guy voted in high school, "Plays Every Game as Game 7 of the NBA Finals" award. I got in the face of this tattooed freak and we got into a lil trash talk. Another team, named their defender guardin me "Kobe Stopper" since I try to pattern my game after Kobe's. I took that as a personal challenge and I scored 11 of our 15 points for the win tryin to send a message to that team they can't stop me. I was on a team where they give me the green light to shoot because they all know their roles. This is different from all those wanna be's out on Saturday mornin. It kills me, because everyone frickin thinks they are MJ. For example, Malibu gosh this kid thinks he is like a deadly player when he stinks. I'll give him props though for his handicap but give it up.

The Showdown tonight though as everyone labeled it as Kobe vs. Pau. This dude could ball, sweet lil post move, and a nice J. However, I stunned the crowd with a 360 reversal layup. In the end, I put the team on my back on busted the game winnin J. I'm so focused on the court, that all I see is the game, and I can picture those who came out to cheer for me on Saturday such as Chinchie and Elektra watchin. I can't wait to face the brotha's on Saturday.

Body Worship - God is God

Sheep? If there's one song I ain't gonna have on my iPod. I'm The Rattlesnake, sheep?

The Speaker - Ben

Northwestern love? Where's the M-I pride?

2nd Music Set

SnL crowd

Gotta give some love of the new toy that we were blessed with.

JZ and Gary catchin worms, dang it I wanted some worms to eat.
Solar System - Since I posted some pics of Praise Nite, I'll let that speak for itself. Instead, I rather talk bout the peeps I've spent time with this weekend. First, I was shocked that Alex came back from Mud Hen Cen to CBC B-ball. It was cool because we formed our or what's left of the Huffin Puffin Park Squad of Alex, Nam, and myself. Then I left early to spend some time with the Kwok's another missin t'mate from the Squad. It's been a while since I had fellowship with Kin in a long time, so I'm glad that God provided that time for us together. I still remember our Dunkin Donuts meetings.

Then at Praise Nite, I was kind of bummed to see one of my old Jr. church student havin a down time. She's always been one of my top students and she brought a friend who was not saved. She was really hopin for a chance for her friend to hear The Gospel. I could see the love that A.C. has for her friend to be saved by the look in her eyes. Their were watery eyes because of her friend's actions towards PN2K6. I'm glad she came to me for support and advice.

I have a new lil bro now, T.K. at CBC. He is such a cutie and I wish I took a pic when I flipped his hat backwards. It was so funny when he was tellin me how he was better than a lot of the peeps playin ball after PN2K6. It was funny because it was actually true, man there were some bad ballerz out there.

Then, post PN, Kitty, Steve, Kevin, Justin, and myself had a midnite dinner at Ram's Horn. Now that was great fellowship time there too. It was fun talkin bout some spiritual aspects in our lives with the Alliance crew.

Then finally, after a long absence, I finally ate sushi again. Man that was some good times at Sushi House. The amount that I ordered I felt like JW. Then havin a couple of laughs at the Yu's place and shoppin at Great Lakes.

I.A. 2 this Sunday y'all, whoa better spell that out Ice Ace 2, better not want peeps to think that I am referring to another thing with those initials.

B-Flem our crazed fan @ Finals

Checkin out our comp!

PK Chi scored the most off his jump serves.

Gotta love our 5-1 offense, stinks though cuz I have to hit middle at this point.

My t'mates and Freaky watchin me from above jump servin another ace.

D Rob watchin V servin it up.

Ash our Super Libero

Dang it, bad toss on this one :(

30 seconds left so we cracked some jokes in the huddle.
Mini - It was like bout 4 years ago I'd say, where I didn't want to get a digital camera. Last year, I subbcummed and bought one right around April. A couple of years ago, the MP3 and iPod craze was all over the place. Of course, I was in love with my CD player and I was content with that. I don't care if it is stupid to buy CD's still, because I want the legit thing. However, today I dropped a lot of money to purchase my first iPod. I did so much homework to make sure that I buy the right one. I really like it because now I can listen to more tunes durin pre-game warm-ups. Havin my CD player on was so bulky compared to my Nano. Eventually, I can see this thing replacin my stereo system in my room and giving me more space. I just hope I don't break this thing. Man I'm really into all my reggae and latin tunes now.

Other than that, nothing exciting happened. I had to ref but Freaky, D Rob, and I were too busy watchin LSU vs. Duke so we called one of the games off a few minutes early. It looks like I may be playin hockey too now for one of the squads here. I'm so excited because I haven't played in sooo long.

Elektra, you shall wait and see ;)

The sweep and the handshakes, that's how we rep as IM Champs.

Meet 6-Pacalypse - Front Row (left to right): V, Bridge, Ash
Back Row (left to right): K13, Stan, Jeff

Delta Center - Bam baby, I'm a 6 time OU IM V-ball champ! I was able to do Jordan's 6 finger 'ship salute tonight. We swept Set 2 Kill and our championship shirts are on the way, so I brought my belt out to show everyone that The Champ is back. I humbled a couple of punks on the other team who thought they could get away with tryin to hurt my girl, Bridge in the IM Soccer 'Ship. We had a good crowd watchin the game tonight and some of my old t'mates in the past as well. They all believe this is probably the strongest team I put together and our 5-1 offense was just too much for everyone.

So what did I miss since I went to play in the Finals instead? I missed my cuz's commencement at ITT, but I doubt he cares anyways. If he does then he knows how it feels when he skips out on every family event. I'm gonna go shoppin for an iPod or MP3 player. I've done my homework and there is one of each I want. So does anyone have any last minute suggestions to sway my choice? I downloaded so many tunes today, I'm really gettin into reggae lately. Well more of Sean Paul's tunes, just so many ya can bounce to before a game.

Lastly, I've done some surveyin around peeps. I gotta say that Elektra said things best to me and she is right. Ok this sucks, I can't post all my pics that I wanted to from our Finals, so I'll have to do a lil by lil. Man, I think a 64 oz. Big Gulp is too much for me.

Butt Ending

ThunderJacks - He knows all of our hearts, and I can only hope that the intentions are there. I had deeper thoughts on that one but I think I'll leave it at that. After a 1 month hiatus from subbing for any school in the U, I actually got off my bum to sub today. Granted I only subbed for half a day, but at least I'm back in the groove. I decided to take the call and I knew He wanted me to sub for this one to get myself back into the flow. I subbed for Jules's 4th grade class at Har-V. Jules's and I go way back to our Titans and Grizzlies days. We had classes together, but that was it. We hung out in different circles as she was with the preps and I was with the jocks. I still say she should of won best eyes in our senior class though!

Considerin I've been on that hiatus, I guess I still got the touch to inspire. They were well behaved, and did what I always asked them to do. 3 girls, Heather, Sammy, and Sydney even made me Thank You cards and sayin that I am the best sub they ever had. These things only made me push myself harder once the day was over.

One way to do that was continue to bust my butt at the Rec. We have a lot of new machines now, and I've changed my workout routine. I've increased the intensity of what I do such as running over 2 miles in spurts, doin over 200 situps, workload, etc. I was workin out at the Rec from 7:30 p.m. til 11:00 p.m. It was those Thank You cards I got that really pushed me today and the thought of gettin my 6th 'ship tomorrow night.

Locked Up

Gary's Shoe Store - Now forgive me for this entry, yet it's pretty darn funny yet very mean too, but it was on my mind tonight and I just want to let it out. I'm gonna sound a lot like Al Bundy on this one. Anyways, so tonight I went to this Chinese party thingy with my folks since a friend bought us tickets. I'm checkin out our table, and it was a mix of 5 Chinese and 5 Americans. Normally, I'd say caucasion but I gotta say American on this one. So 3 of the 5 Americans are on the quite larger end of the scale. I gave them nicknames in Canto, so they didn't know I was referring to them. Their names were FatGirl, FatMan, and NoHairFatMan again keep in mind that this is in Canto. The theme of this is sometimes the last isn't first. Whenever we eat, I usually go last so everyone has plenty to eat then I'll eat the scraps, but their were no scraps. So I was the only one to ask for a bowl of white rice which is what I ate most.

Anyways, I cut them a lot of slack for a lack of knowledge of culture, but dude table manners. So FatMan, just starts scoopin a huge portion of the jellyfish appetizer. Now I love the jellyfish appetizer but of course by the time it got to me, I ate 2 strands of it. FatMan had a huge pile and he didn't like it so he threw it all away! I was like WHAT THE GG!!!!!!! Dude, grab a lil to see if you like it or not first.

Next up, NoHairFatMan was the silent killer. Dude didn't talk much but sure ate a lot. I was hopin to get at least 1 mushroom from the Bok Choy dish. I was the next person to get the dish, and of course no mushrooms left. I looked at his plate and he had 10 shrooms on his frickin dish. At this point, I tried to stay positive and kept tellin myself that means more white rice for me.

Lastly, Big Mama killed me the most. This girl was so huge that she had a couple of chins hangin already and I think she gained a new chin after the party was over. I was so scared to put my dang hand on the spinner because I was afraid she'd eat that too. Big Mama used her bare hands to eat.......everything!!!! She used her hands in the seafood peapod dish, and wiped her fat mouth all over her sleeve since she used the whole table's napkins already. I was bout to get the fried chicken next, but she used her hands and grabbed a huge piece out of the dish. She's plays around with her piece with her hands, then she decides that she doesn't like it and puts it back in the dish! How the G am I suppose to eat now? Then she decides to play with the lobster head, of course not knowin that some peeps actually eat it so we lost a piece of meat there too.

Big Mama, killed me the most and I had to really bite my tongue not to make any fat jokes. They asked me if I worked out because of my physique and how often do I do it. They thought I was pretty strong guy, then FatMan told me that he stopped workin out a long time ago. All I could say under my breath was, "yeah I can tell." Thank God there were a lot of peeps at other tables that I knew so I could leave our table. I was really hopin that Big Mama wasn't lookin at me like the next thing to eat. So as Al Bundy would say, "A fat woman came into the store today..." Actually, my last thought was at least I got to eat the fish. Apparently, the Fatties don't like fish so it got me thinkin as I was eatin was it even Jesus could feed these people?

Eastern Conference Finals - A year ago, I trained my friend to improve his v-ball skillz so that he could carry the torch in OU IM V-ball. He was a big reason why I didn't put together a team for the first time in so many semesters last Fall. However, he fell short of a 'ship and I didn't like the team that ended up winnin it. I decided to put together a team for this semester to knock off the reignin champs Set 2 Kill. I was hopin my boy would keep his squad together but it didn't happen. Actually, it got worst because I felt like he betrayed what I felt he stood for. He joined BSF, the cockiest team in the league. They cocky because they would kill a team in the 1st game, then purposely lose the 2nd, then build a lead in the 3rd and let the other teams catch up then they would end it.

Tonight was the matchup #1 BSF vs. #4 6-Pacalypse, a classic Heat vs. Pistons matchup. They kept tellin me that they beat us in the regular season and I told them that the playoffs are a different story. I kept talkin trash to those that I felt rubbed their superiority against the other teams. My team already felt disrespected because of our 4 seed draw, considerin we only had 1 lost. They kept tellin me to shut up, and I just smiled and every time I got a kill, I kept shoutin out "Yes Sirrrrr." On some killz, I gave the stare down and they were gettin pissed. I kept askin them "what's the matter y'all can dish it but y'all can't take it?" One girl didn't even shake my hand after we swept them out of the playoffs. It's all good, because they can be cocky all they want because they gone fishin and all I got to say to them is BSF ain't got nothin on me.

Now I am goin to my 11th Finals game, and shootin for my 6th 'ship of OU IM V-ball. Man our team is pretty crisp in our 5-1 offense and it helps that we had great passes for our great setter.

A couple of idiots stuck in the median, gotta have skillz to drive in this weather.

This was what we were stuck in for 5 plus hours. Now just think at least 30 miles long was how long this line was.

This is what I stared at for 5 plus hours waitin for 94 to open :(

Can you see the truck driver or the other side of the freeway?

This truck decided to spin out right next to me. Good luck gettin out of the ditch buddy.

Gotta give love to this guy for keepin the path clear at the Rest Area so that I could run and pee! A few minutes after, was when 94 closed so thank goodness I took care of my business before the closure.

The cleanest Rest Area where I did my potty, so I had to put up some love for that.
Woodville - Well a picture tells everything so the trip to the Twin C's was the trip that never happened. We got as close as 20 miles east of the Minnesota state line. Then the snow was so bad that they shut down 94 and from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. we sat in the car hopin they would open the freeway back.

What did I do during those 5 1/2 hours?
I slept
Walked around outside of the blizzard
Watched Jaws 2 in the back of the car
Talked to truck drivers
Listen to tunes
Slept some more

I listened to the radio for updates on road conditions. All you can hear is how people were bashing the Twin C's for poor road management because of the weather. A lot of the freeways in the area were shut down due to the high volume of accidents. Yeah, I was kind of bummed that we didn't make it. However, I stayed positive because before we got to where they shut down the freeway, we pulled off to get some gas. God provided gas at the right exit because a lot of cars that were stuck in the long wait ran out of gas. Also, yet still bummed not bein able to make it, I saw it as God protectin my fam from the driving conditions because 94 was closed.

It wasn't a total loss, as we turned around to head home I sped so fast through 94 & 90 that we made it to Chicago for dinner. I even got some Joy Yee's again and I ran into John from CCUC in Chinatown.

Lastly, I also broke my previous record of consective hours driven (outside of my NYC road trip). I drove for 8 straight hours from my parents house to Wisconsin Dells. Also, man it feels good to own an IPass.

Tomah - Back in the mid 90's, we went out to the Twin C's in April because of Spring Break. It was probably one of the scariest moments we encountered on a road trip. It just happened to be a bad snow storm on our way through Wisconsin. Stella was driving the car through Jackson, Wisconsin and she tried to switch lanes in midst of this storm. Already there were cars all over the median because of the ice, snow, wind, and slush all over 94. She switched lanes too quickly, and the van spun out of control, and we did a couple of 360's before stoppin in the middle of the median. The trees kept us from rollin over and we were able to be towed out of trouble. It wasn't that bad, but it freaked out my sis so much that she wanted to go home. We continued to the Twin C's after our car was repaired.

Ever since then, we never went on a road trip in the winter season. I just checked the weather again, and it seems like from the Twin C's to Eau Claire, Wi. are under a severe winter storm warning. It is estimated they may get 6 - 12 inches of snow in the Twin C's with heavy winds. My mommy has requested that we delay the trip for next week, while I want to go. I pray that we'll be safe on our trip and that we can make it back as planned. I hope to see everyone when I get back.

Target Center - Why is it, when I want to sub I don't get the times that I want then vice versa. Anyways, I turned down some schools today because my heart was out in Minneapolis. I kept checkin the weather and hoping that I can make it there in time. I tried to be productive today by cleaning the house to get my thoughts together. Outside of my NYC trip by myself in 2K1, the Minnesota drive was the 2nd longest I made without stopping. Yup, 7 straight hours from here to Madison, Wisconsin until I finally grew tired and let my daddy drive.

My sis wants to come along but of course she has to learn the hard way (again) for movin to Charlotte. I think the only time I didn't think bout everyone in Minnesota was when I was at Dumar's. Although I had some tear jerkin moments because it was the last of the v-ball session camp. Some of my girls were askin if I could be the coach for the next session, which is something I really hope for. I hope they took in everything that I taught them and I know I got a couple of studs that I can push harder. Then it was the start of a new Dumar's season and now that I'm a "free agent", a few teams are wavin their contracts at me.

However, coming home only reminds me again of the trip I need to make. Maybe I'll get some time to play out there because it's been a while since I've been to the Y out there.

Everytime We Touch

Tuesday, March 07, 2006

Metrodome - So it seems like I get more bad news out of the Twin Cities. Of course with the passing of Twins legend, Kirby. I remember back in the days, that was like the only Twins I cared about. I always wanted his jersey and everything everytime I went to Minnesota.

Lately, I've been getting calls from the fam out in the Twin C's. For a while now, my Uncle has been battling cancer. I think from around '93 - '00 I've been to Minneapolis at least once a year to visit. This is a place where I would choose to stay if I couldn't stay in the D. It seems like though that my Uncle is gettin weaker now. It just sucks because he means so much to my daddy. It's been about 4 years since the last time I went up there. All I can ask for is decent weather this weekend so I can make a return to the Twin C's.

I keep lookin at a couple of old pics right now. One is of me and my sis, standing in front of the Welcome Wisconsin sign. The other is of my fam and my Uncle standing in the heart of St. Paul back in '93. This place means so much to me, I mean I actually considered goin to school here as in the other U of M. I feel so at peace laxin and trainin in the cabin by North Dakota. I wanna see my Uncle Walter and Aunt Anna and repay them for always lookin out for me. I wonder if my cuz, Bridget or Budget as I'd like to call her is in college now. All I can do is pray for good weather for the drive and have hope to seeing everyone.

My lil bro'z with Mama Moy's homemade ice cream cake!

# 2 hookin his bowl up!

# 1 fillin my bowl up.
Monopoly - So the thing I learned new today is, too many potatoes can cause diabetes. I thought like carbs and starch was good for ya, but I guess when ya break it down, it is sugar. Man, I gotta cut back on those baked potatoes from Arby's.

If only I could of stayed longer for the baby shower on Saturday :( It seemed like I missed out on a lot of fun because I had so much joy in doin the ABC thing.

I'm startin to get back into things at CBC and doin what I feel called to do. Sunday School was presented very well today too, and just remember that the bad kids sit in the back :) Afterwards was the mega trip to Arby's, man did we hold up that line. I went to see 16 Blocks with Cougie, and P-Nutz at Star South, and that movie is a must see! I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it was a great movie plus that were in Chinatown!

Afterwards, was the great blessin that I know I don't deserve. I thought I was havin a simple dinner at the Moy residence. However, it turned out to be a surprise grad party for me and I was choked up with tears. They got balloons, presents, homemade yummy ice cream cake, and we had Mama Moy's yummy Hot Pot! I played this Lego's Boardgame with my lil bro'z and of course I had to come in last place :) I kept tellin myself that I don't deserve any of this and I still don't. Thanks God for blessin me everyday and forgive me for the times that I stray. Much love back to the Moy family for their love and support.

Frosted Flakes

Thursday, March 02, 2006

1st Street - Compared to a couple of entries ago, I tried to have more intelligent thoughts. Although, I wanna throw this out as my first thought is, man I am startin to get into watchin Power Rangers once again. I wish they'd start all the way back from Season 1 though :(

Anyways, back to what I was originally thinking which was how to grow and serve. There are certain areas at CBC where I want to serve but there are some roadblocks in the way which make me more hesitant. I guess I gotta be content though that I am serving in b-ball by sharing. I just hope God really prepares me and uses me to speak to everyone.

So what else has been missing in my spiritual life? It's been like a year or so, since 5:14 has been down. I mean I haven't gone to a Bible Study in ages or a fellowship group in awhile. That ended tonight as I checked out, hmm I'll call it the Chrysler Fellowship. It was great to study The Bible together and listen to other people's questions. It was good to be challenged knowin His Word as I felt stagnant for a while. Another good thing bout this group is that's it in downtown Rochester, so I am only 10 minutes away. Plus, I guess they all ball at The Wood after Bible Study. So it's gonna be fun bringin a lil CBC flavor into both.

In the end though, I don't wanna be one of those leeches that does nothing and absorbs everything at CBC or fellowship.

Gold Ranger
North Pointe - Well another season, another trip to the Finals, and another game short of winning it all. It's one thing to lose, but it is so discouraging after the game to see my team point fingers at each other. Ultimately, they all pointed the gun at B and things were said while I was coolin off that B just chucked the ball at another t'mate. I talked to B bout it after and he felt no one has the right to call out anyone but me. I don't think I call out anyone but the game's over and I told him that it's my fault we didn't win. I told the team if they wanna blame someone then blame me.

I feel bad for B because he leaves the place on a bad note. I don't think he got treated fair from the get go. He shows up late to one game and everyone is on his case, but if I showed up late no one is gonna say anything to me. B hits it out, everyone is on his case as if it is the end of the world. I hit one out, and everyone is supportive of me. He nearly had to play a perfect game so no one got on his case. They told B that they didn't need him anyways for next season.

So after all this has gone down, I told the team that I wanted to take some time off. Now they are considering callin B back to ask him to play. I ain't down for a team who acts this way. Yes, I can get away with anything or that I'm treated like a king, but I want all my t'mates to be treated equally. The Sticx has just screwed themselves with their arrogance and I find it too funny. I just want some time off to heal my shoulder completely, and possibly helpin out a friend in The Fern L for a chance at a 'ship.

My Heart
